Title: Compressor Build RFI question
Post by: ggarms on November 06, 2013, 11:41:57 PM
So I've found myself building more and more comps lately for friends, and each time I do the keeley 4 knob version on tagboard I end up with RFI. The build itself sounds great, however when timberlake starts crying river through my amp when I'm not playing, I tend to get frustrated. I've been trying to figure out the best way to solve the problem, and it seems like a lot of people are mentioning adding a small resistor in series with the input or a small value cap between input and ground. Can anyone explain to me exactly how this is done and why this would work?

It isn't too bad unless i'm using distortion, at which point it becomes obnoxious.
