Post by: Gledison on November 10, 2013, 01:15:49 PM
Hey guys, just to be sure understood the instructions correctly.
I will have to LEDs wires connected to the SW of the 3PDT ?
Sorry, I never used a LFO and even knew minutes ago what was that :P
thanks for any help!

Yes. Do as in standard wiring (http://www.madbeanpedals.com/tutorials/downloads/StandardWiring_MBP.pdf) but
replace the 4K7 with 22K and instead of wiring it (red wire) to the DC jack
you wire it to the right side pad of the omitted R39 on the Pork Barrel.

Hey! thanks for the info. So I will keep having only 1 LED or 2? :P
Cheers

This way you will have one LED only.  It will pulse with the speed of the LFO if the effect is on, and it will be off if the effect bypassed.

If you want separate LEDs, simply ground the speed indicator LED (flat side) instead of going to the 3PDT. Then it will always pulse, even if the effect is on bypass.

Just something you might want to take into consideration: In my build, the LFO indicator LED was very, very dim, so I wired up an extra status LED. I used the value as in the build doc (22k res), and I have to really get up close to see anything happening. Just my $0.02, hope you enjoy the PB as much as I do!

Yeah, you need one of those blinding bright waterclear LEDs. Or a lower resistor.

Keep the 22k resistor, get a water clear white LED, and fit it in a nice coloured lens cover
that way youll get a nice coloured LED and it will be still bright enough.

22k on a regular diffuse LED will be quite dim as previously pointed out...

What about reducing the resistance to 5-10k?
