Question... Are these things OK?

I thought I remembered somebody complaining about these shorting out on enclosures... but I could be wrong.
You would be correct about them shorting out, these are what you want.

out of stock!
nothing like em on the 'bay, either....
Double Blast!
smallbear has them, I think.

Double the price, but hey, they're in stock!
Don't know where you're located, but Banzai has them as well (and way before others started carying them!)

I think Smallbear is a bit cheaper, but I'd have to check the exact dollar/euro rate and shipping etc.....
Paul
Musikding also has them in Europe, and their shipping fees are lower than Banzai & smallbear (which is definitely not the best option due to the way they calculate shipping costs).
I'm in NY, and I don't really want to pay 1.25 per... dang.

That's closer to the normal price for these. The BLMS price was outrageously low and I'm not totally convinced his were real Lumberg ones or just a clone. Note that the Musikding price is .95 euros, which is $1.27. Jameco was also close to that much. FWIW, these are totally worth it for 1590A builds. You can do side DC jacks with them with the body of the jack
on top of 9mm pots.
I don't want normal pricing. I want it all for free.
Thanks for the headsup.
Just a heads-up about these - Of the ones I got from BLMS, 8 out of 10 were unusable because the OD of the center post varied so much. All the ones I've gotten from Smallbear have been fine.
gosh i think I am just gonna go with the standard junkers via china seller.

if you're not in a huge hurry, I contacted Lawrence over at blms, and he said maybe a month or less fwiw. Yeah I don't think they're real lumbergs either.
On the topic of dc jacks, I like these white ones. Adds a nice touch. This sellers got them for what works out to be about 33c. Might be cheaper sources but there you go. Be quick though, they only have 1200 left :)

For the compact variety, would these work? Really need to get some for 1590a's. Standard jacks are a pita...

Yep, still better to get them from Banzai, or Smallbear for the 'mericans. The price break from SB when you get 10 or more is pretty good btw....

Smallbear has 'm for $0.90 when you buy 50 or more, I'd take 20 of your hands if you would do that. I feel a group buy comin'.........
I think you guys may have missed the drop down box on the ebay listing...?
20 = 15.34 aud = 76.7c each
and it gets cheaper the more you buy of course. Similar pricing to blms I guess.
Paul
Group buy!!!!
@ 100, BLMS is cheaper (53c each opposed to 63c each). DO the ebay sockets have the same problem (2 in 10 don't work properly)? Roll the dice unfortunately.
