Title: Zombii - Tranny substitutions?
Post by: MullisMan on March 04, 2011, 10:41:38 PM
I'm wondering if anybody has tried any cheap silicon PNP transistors in the Zombii such as a 2N2907 instead of the AC128's or what have you.  Is there too much mojo lost?

I have tried a couple and I was happy with the results. I have used Bc558's and currently have 2n3906's in my build. I haven't compared mine to the real thing, but I get a fuzz tone that I really like for lead stuff with the 2n3906 trannies.

Thats surprising but good to know. It's funny how such cheap transistors can work as a substitute.

Hey folks I am searching for the same thing. Does anyone have a list of recommended tranny subs or a link that shows all of them?
