Title: Kingslayer with adjustable OD Stomp
Post by: toddvirgil on January 07, 2014, 03:42:07 PM
So I was thinking it'd be nice to have the OD switch as a seperate stomp, sort of as a second stage. If I wanted to make the level of the clipping adjustable, could I just add a 100K linear pot to bleed the clipping to ground?

There is a way; I will post it later. :)

Here's mine.  The right 3PDT is LED (lugs 1,2) and trim pots (lugs 4-9).  The board is a 2PDT utility board from GuitarPCB, but you can do the mod without.  What you're doing is subbing 2 different values for R15.  I have tried everything from 4.7k to a pot for externally adjustable gain boost to those two internal trim pots.  FWIW, I prefer the trim pots ;)

~8-10k is enough for a useful and not-outlandish gain boost if you decide to go with soldered resistors.

Enjoy!
