Title: How to match jfets?
Post by: Jmilla on January 13, 2014, 07:00:34 PM
I have a jfet tester but am having trouble finding what 2n5457 should measure out as and how close they need to be for a smoothie. Could anyone give me a short rundown?

Thanks

I'm just copying a bit of info from the document from here: http://www.jmkpcbs.com/JMK_PCBs/DIY_Projects_files/JFET%20Matcher.pdf (http://www.jmkpcbs.com/JMK_PCBs/DIY_Projects_files/JFET%20Matcher.pdf)\

Set the multimeter to DC Voltage, and measure your reading for each JFET as you plug it into the socket. Match up the JFETS according to this reading. You JFETs should measure in the - Vgs range.
