New Pedal Day With A Bit Of History!
So today i got back this Ibanez PT-9 phaser from the 80's, a really lush and smooth sounding phaser by the way. I bought that thing when i was in 3rd grade of high school for maybe 40$ in some sort of disaster store...not a pawnshop... but a weird place full of junk.
I had sold it to my bud maybe a year after, because i probably needed money to party! But with the condition that if he ever sells it back, it's to me, because i liked it a lot.
That day as come, with time my bud completely stopped to play guitar and sold all is stuff.
Now she's back to me and i'm enjoying it a lot! ;D

Glad to see you've reunited with an old friend. It appears, however, that someone has replaced all your film caps with candy...might want to fix that.

Haha, i agree that they do look like cold stirred candy in the pic.
I have one of these bad boys. Mine screams a high pitched wail of torture 90% of the time I plug her in. Probably needs new electro caps. The 10% of times it works, it sounds great. Congrats on regaining an old friend.

I'm no phaser expert, i just whore myself for them..haha
But the symptoms seems to be logic... a leaky electro or dried out could possibly be the problem... and that board is really not hard to work on from what i see.
For a single sided pcb, that's a really neat layout.
Clip in OP.
I don't know what happens in the clip when i switch to the greasy rythm part... but it's surprising...
Signal Chain:
-'TronCaster -- IDA dBuff -- GCFX RottenKomp(LS) -- IDA Behemoth BassDriver -- ISP Decimator-
-Mesa MarkIV Combo-
-Loop Send -- Ibanez PT9 Phaser -- Maxon AD999 -- Loop Return-
-Combo Speaker/112 Closed back w/Eminence Swampthang-

Modulated sound, Rythm 2 Channel,Komp--Klonish Channel of Behemoth Loop On, Phaser and Delay
Greasy sound, Lead Channel, Komp -- Klonish side of Behemoth/CleanBoost engaged for the PM part, Loop Off, Dry
Nice clip.. if you played 1/2 time, it would sound really Tool(esk).
Still really like that guitar man.
Now that does sound great. Grats on the find - er, re-find.
Really nice Rej.
