This is my very first successful 1590A pedal build. The Afterlife compressor is a very quiet squishy pedal. It's very impressive. I built it in what was originally going to be a headphone amp, but that didn't work out. For me, compressors are an a;ways on effect, so that's why I decided to build it sans the stomp. I've always wanted to build one without it and voila!!

Honestly, you don't need to put all (or any of the switches in). I tend to like the clipping switch and set the bass cap where I want it. I don't use the treble switch as much so that is the first one I leave off.
I have also put the bass switch as an internal jumper option. That worked fine.
It really is a bit of a hassle fitting three knobs and three switches in there. I am not really in a hurry to do it again soon.
that graphic is really cool jimi good idea about the switch too
that whole 1590a thing is pain i will never be able to inflict on my self i struggle enough already
Please...Please...Please....
Put some heatshrink on the connection between the LED and the 9V supply :-\
One little knock of the pedal and it is smoke city :o
That's a cool build man....I extremely like your sans switch idea. And thanks for that tip about the LED/9v Lacky
I love your LED grounding method! Did you use the Vactec, Marcon, or roll your own LDR?

Thank you, running another wire seemed pointless and this was so obvious, and with the cover on, it won't move. I did this with the klone I built and can't find also. I used a vactrol, vtl5c3 I be
I've is what's in the Bom. This compressor is very quiet, I am surprised at how quiet it is.
