Title: Fat Pants - Motorboat Noise?
Post by: playpunk on January 25, 2014, 08:25:01 PM
Hello folks.

I just finished putting a fat pants together. I have checked and rechecked the wiring, but I can't figure out what is going on.

My IC Voltages are all OK from what I've seen on other threads, and my JFet voltages look OK too - although on one leg it might be high (18v).

I checked the switch for continuity, and it works. The LED comes on.

It is not boxed yet, and I'm unsure of what is going on. I get nothing good when it's on, or when it's bypassed, just the same motorboat noise.

OK. So the circuit is fine (and tasty sounding)

Here is my question - I was not getting any good noise when I had my cables plugged into the jacks when they weren't in the enclosure. Will I have more luck with those same jacks in the enclosure?

I tested the jacks for continuity, and both are continous between the tip and the solder terminal.
