Title: Rangemaster not working
Post by: whitewave on January 29, 2014, 11:03:37 PM
I know that it's so simple that I should figure out by myself what's goin' on, but the pedal is not working and I can't see the problem.
When disengaged I can hear guitar, but if I press the footswitch no sound can be heard.
Rangemaster with madbean pcb of course.
Transistor is a CV7112 from smallbear, and I've used the resistors included: 4.3k on R2 and 56k on R1, R3 is the stock 470k.
I haven't used a switch to bypass C2, planning to add it later.
C1 is a 5n styroflex cap.
The red dot of transistor is close to the pot, it should be the emitter, but this transistor should be "symmetrical".
Voltage reading on each pin is the same, about -2,8v.

Thanks for your help.

sorry guys, found the issue.
CV7112 is NPN, not PNP

Reversing polarity, and trying to make the pedal sound right now.
