Title: Kingslayer - wiring the buffered switch
Post by: Blues Healer on February 04, 2014, 08:06:24 PM
Howdy
I'm working on my second Kingslayer.
On the buffered wiring, one lug of the switch has four connection - two 68k resistors, the 100k resistor, and an output wire.
Does anyone have a tip for wiring this? I had a heck of a time with the first one!
I'm thinking of tacking a bit of left over lead above the lug to make a more convenient terminal.

thanks in advance!

It's just one of those things you get better at with practice. My advice is to not solder that lug until all 4 connections are made. If you solder even one of those connections, your space will get much smaller quite quickly.

Using a switch with lugs that have large holes is also advised.

thanks Jacob for the quick response!
yeah, it didn't take long for me to figure out that I just wasn't gonna get four connections on the lug. I did look at a couple of my switches, and they didn't seem to have larger lugs.
For now, I think I'll just try to form a wire "ring" above the lug, so I can just solder once and be done with it.
