Title: Where to source these Knobs
Post by: PhiloB on February 06, 2014, 04:53:55 AM
I have a Ross Distortion that I am modding. It was a gift to me and came without knobs.  Would these be D-Type shafts on the pots?  If so, who carries them?  Couldn't find them on Tayda, Mammoth, SmallBear or Pedalpartsplus.  Doesn't mean they aren't there though.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/06/pyvu3yma.jpg)

Thanks Clayford!  Hopefully I'll have a friend who has calipers.

Does the Ross use the large boss style but just D shaft?

the original knobs look similar to Davies 1500:

the Boss style knobs were used on versions in MXR type enclosures

since I didn't see any Davies with a D-shaft, you might take a look at an Eagle Plastics 450-5320C:

(sixth one down on the upper left)
although the Ross knob looks taller, with a sloped side

Dang! I might just try to adjust a set screw just right and push it down on the shaft.  Don't want to drop $10 plus shipping on some knobs.
