A simple vibrato I built for a customer.
Based on the Magnavibe/Escobedo Wobbletron. After trying a variety of LED/LDR combos, I used a VTL5C3 for maximum 'wobbliness'.
This effect is subtle, in a nice way (its not in your face like some modulation effects), and really comes into its own when combined with a little delay, reverb, and also with tremolo bar use ;)
Vintage style knobbies from RS in the UK (love em :))
I've also stopped using the connectors on my 3PDT boards, and now solder directly to the PCB. Much neater looking IMO.
Anyway, hope you like the pics!

That's a tidy build!
Yummy!

Your builds always look so elegant. :)
i love those knobs! you said you got those at radio spares? wanna float a link ;)... probably prohibitively expensive to get them shipped to the states, though...
Thanks for the kind words guys.

No idea how much shipping will be, you'll have to check.
cool thanks! do they have a set screw, or are they press-fit?

I dream of a build that neat!
Smashing! 8)
Super! 8)
I need to build one of these. Too many good comments on the circuit!

I really love the uniformity of your pedals. When I see one I know exactly whos it is and thats a good thing. I love my Magnaclone also, great effect. Now that I'm thinking about it I really need to re-box mine.

Beauty! Simple and elegant.
Amazing work, this looks freakishly tidy.
Very nice inside and out!
Just looked through your website. Your stuff looks top notch! What program are you using for your graphics?
Another killer build! As if we expected anything less.
Thanks for the comments guys.
r.e Graphics program. I use Inkscape.
Took me a while to get used to it, but I'm pretty quick on it now.
Work of art, that one. Really nice.
Raulduke, Did you have to change anything to the circuit to use the VTL5C3 or is it a direct replacement of the LDR & LED?
Cody

Cheers dude!
The finish is hammerite. Applied with sponge by hand (no spray can). This gives best hammer effect in my experience.
Label/decal is a clear polyester label material I use (which I nab from work.... :o ;)). They kind of 'meld' to the enclosure and paint work when lacquered (I use enamel lacquer).
That blue hammerite is awesome!
Tim Lerch (one of my favourite guitarist at the time) has a demo of a Magnatron vibrato and it sounds just awesome

That's a great finish - do you use a primer, multiple coats, or other pre-preparation to get the effect of the beaten metal?
That looks great! I love how the YouTube demos sound for the Magnavibe. I'll have to add it to my ridiculously expanding to do list.
Excellent! Always love your pedals.
