Title: The Faces of Fuzz
Post by: pickdropper on March 02, 2014, 11:14:27 PM
Built a couple of Fuzz Faces, one for me and one for somebody else.  I put a voltage inverter on the board so it can be used with a standard center negative supply and added the option for a voltage sag control.  Otherwise, it's pretty standard.  No 600v mojo caps here.  :-)

Hooray for soldering those old trannies straight to the board. Nut up!  ;D

Yeah, if I know it's staying, soldering Ge trannies is fine.  I socketed on the red one because I plan on using it to try different things.

Alright Pick, spill the beans!

Whatever happened to your etch-fu? That "g" in voltage?

That purple one looks amazing, my favorite etch color combination!

Actually, that's the nature of the font.  In this particular case, the etch is correct.

If you want to see etching issues, check out the Riot build I did.  I pushed that one too far and it didn't work out.

Easy. Breezy. Beautiful.

I'm surprised you didn't go SMD on these.

Very nice. I think I like the red the best but both are beautiful.

Are the boxes laser etched??

If so, I thought someone was toying with the idea of making that a service available to the DIY group.
