Title: Four channel line buffer box
Post by: stevewire on March 06, 2014, 09:27:10 PM
Hey.  A friend of mine asked me if I could build a four channel buffer box for his studio.  Apparently he is doing some long cable runs and he is looking to preserve the signal.  Would each buffer need an isolated power?  And if so, could anyone point me in the right direction.

Thank you.

I am bringing this back up to give it another chance to find an answer.

I want to give this one more chance.  I would appreciate any information about isolating the power supply in multiple circuit builds.

This is the best project I know of - 3 outputs.

Other than designing your own, I'd recommend either finding a Klon buffer vero layout and making four of them, or buy four of Bean's Bacon Bits boosters.

Hey jubal81,
Thank you for responding.  I had decided to use the Klon buffer circuit, but I am most concerned about the power supply being daisy chained between the four buffers in the box and whether or not this could create noise.
