Title: Barbershop, first SMD
Post by: icecycle66 on March 15, 2014, 06:41:37 PM
This is my first SMD build.
It' wasn't as bad as I thought.
I got the hang of it after the first few resistors.  I will surely be putting together more SMD stuff.  Now I just need to learn how to buy components for this sort of thing.

I don't usually decorate my pedals, but I figured since this was my first SMD and my first Express Connect, I might as well put something on here.  It's all hand painted and spray painted.

Here're the guts.  You can see my express connect on the right above the normal 9v.

And the outside of the EC.  The next two or three pedals will also have the EC.  Then I'll put together a junction box that will provide input, output, ground, and power.  It will also allow for quick order switching and looking cool.

Just love the graphics!  ;D

Should I ask about EC?

Great work! Super tidy inside, I loled at the graphic, and the molex express connect is a cool idea. :)

Thanks guys.

The express connect is just a rip off of what these guys are doing.

Yeah I figured it's some kind of proprietary hi-tech! Like it!  ;)

Them's some nice work :)

Muddyfox's Barbershop board is a great little confidence builder for SMD work.
