I'm really at my end with stomp switches. Maybe I'm just buying crap (they are the mammoth pro ones) but, I'm sick of poping and every issue I seem to have regarding the switches (letting then sit unused for a month or two usually yields a wealth of frustration taken out on the poor box by hitting it).
So what's everyone's favorite alternative to the standard mechanical switch?
Alpha DPDT, and 1776's optical bypass. I haven't heard a pop since I started using it. :)
I've had five of those waiting to be used for a year now... kinda saving them for a rainy day. ;D
I really should box more circuits...
yeah i have a couple of the Alpha DPDT switches kicking around, looks like i'll have to grab some of the 1776 boards.

Jon, do these fit in the 1590A enclosures?

Not unless you're more clever than I am, unfortunately. Maybe for very very small PCBs.

Thanks for the recommendation tho, you always have sound advice!
