I'm going to put this out there not because I want one, but because I think it's a phenomenal chorus and offers another flavor from your typical CE-2. Incorporating the Vibe Mod and running it with some better quality components makes for an incredible chorus. As of yet, I don't think anyone has done a project, vero or otherwise for this.
Schem is here: http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schemview.php?id=2292
After a quick look... if you compare it to the pork barrel schematic, I think you can actually build the 2 on the same board by changing the values (assuming they're different, didn't compare) they look practically identical to me although I haven't verified that entirely. Other than the stereo output of course.
Thanks for linking me to this Jon, it's quite interesting.

I was wrong when I said this, I didn't notice the CE-1 style gate function.
Reason why i bumped this is that i asked on my facebook page to suggest me analog chorus for future DIY projects and Jon refered me to this thread.
Being quite a fan of the Ibby/Maxon Serie9, this one made lots of sense. The other favored one being a ReDux of the DOD 690. :)

Does the indicator LED actually serve as part of the gate function for the circuit? Seems like kind of an odd placement for the LED. I modded my CS-9 to replace the LED with a bright water clear, but it's still very dim in comparison. I also did the vibe mod found in this thread:

It sounds pretty fantastic.

This is the chorus I was given by someone that clipped out the DC jack from the PCB (literally cut it out with wire cutters :o)
Tried to get one of the forum members to clone the PCB but it never happened....
If anyone needs info about it.... let me know ;)
This is one of my favorite choruses, right up there next to the CE-2. I could see a DIY version being useful.
If no one objects, i'd gladly take on that one. :D
I think that would be cool if you did. The Maxon reissue is cool but quite expensive.

No objections here! :)

No it doesn't, change its current limiting resistor.

Yeah, did that. I cut the value in half. Need to look at it again though.
I'm actually really excited to see some interest in the project. I run this pedal a lot; mostly at low settings for just a hair of depth. Really nice. You can get Badge tones all the way to Cold Shot with the vibe mod.

..the Pearl CE22 chorus ensemble may not sound as good as the BOSS CE2...but it has a nice vibrato feature on one ch..that has adjustable delay on the effect...

That's a nice one! Might wait to make my teeth on the CS-9 before giving a try to a complex one like that, much interesting tho...
Found this comparison for you all...

Both sound great of course. Just slight differences to my ear...

Yeah, I've watched that one in the past along with a few others. Here's one with the lesley mod:

You can dial in the level by varying the resistor you replace.
I remember that one! The mod kit the guy used was from Fromel Electronics, who also makes one of the only Dimension C clones I've seen.
