Title: Finding schematics
Post by: AntKnee on March 31, 2014, 02:50:53 AM
I have a Vox AC50CP2 that I love. I would like to find a scematic for it to build a pedal based on the hi gain channel, but cant find a schematic for it. I have only done internet searches, and I dont know if there are other resources for finding original schematics. Anyone have any advice for finding the info?
Thanks

You might be able to find the schematic in Gerald Weber's "A Desktop Reference to Hip Vintage Guitar Amps", but I don't have a copy on hand to check.

I'll look into it. However, its not a vintage amp. These were made in 2007 or something. Short lived, but in my opinion, underrated.

Ah. In that case, I doubt it'll be in the Weber book, then. It was published before 2007.

Take a look at this:

EDIT: Not sure if it has the right AC50, the ones in the schematic are only normal and brilliant

Yeah, I was able to find several AC50 schems, but there was one made in the 60s that had a normal and brilliant. I'm beginning the thing there just isn't one out there for it.
