Title: Fill a spot on my board!
Post by: jkokura on April 01, 2014, 11:09:21 PM
I'm trying to decide on a pedal to fill my last spot on one of my Pedaltrain Nano Pedalboards (I have two, wish I had a third). I'm pulling my El Cap off and putting it elsewhere. In it's place is going my Dirtbag, and a 125B pedal I have yet to pick.

So, Consider that the current chain is:

Tuner > Engineer's Thumb Comp > Super Happy OD > Dirtbag

Limitations are that I have no need for another OD or a Fuzz, but other than that, what 125B sized pedal would you add to the PCB?

Trem or Vibe, QuattroVibe would fit that spot nicely.

I wish I had a good Vibe on hand, perhaps I can get one going this evening...

Those tend to be my go to options, and I have one of each, but I'm actually thinking of something else here.

Perhaps I was too restrictive in my limitations. I was thinking that maybe I didn't want to go with a Drive or Fuzz, but since the Trem and Phase wasn't really giving me the awesome ideas, maybe I should look outside the box a bit? Try something else?

Either that or it's verb.

Cocked wah?

Hmm. Cocked wah isn't really my thing. I think I have one around here somewhere...

I would totally use my Nautilus or a few other pedals I have, but they're not really 125Bs. I have a tonne of circuits finished that I'm hording. Maybe I should go through and install one in a 125B just to have some fun.

In what world is "one of each" ever enough?

Seriously though, I've built up like five trems in the last few weeks.  Build a Cardinal, but use real Vactrols not the work alikes, a 1kC depth pot, and an On Off On switch, and it will change your life just a little bit.  I'd throw a board in the mail for you, but I'm pretty sure CP won't get it to you by the weekend.
