Title: Catalinbread Topanga Spring Reverb
Post by: selfdestroyer on April 08, 2014, 05:32:16 AM
What do you think, new Belton brick (BTDR-3), FV-1 or something else?

I swore I read somwhere this was the Belton BTDR-3 but I can not find the source now. I really think this pedal nails that true spring sound.

Thoughts?

Hmmm.
Doesn't sound quite like what I expect from the brick, but I've got a few reasons to think brick:
1) If it were FV-1, I think there'd be a mode switch for different types of reverb.
2) New reverb pedal comes around the same time as the release of a new brick.

Is it Jack DeVille who designed this one? He did couple pro circuits using the FV1 and locking it in certain mode and work around that sound.

It could also be other DSP bricks that Belton's offer.

I doubt it's the new belton to be honest.

I would think its the same DSP processor they have used for their other recent delays (Belle Epoch and Echorec).

Yeah, I'd put money on it being an FV-1 with custom Eprom.

FV-1  ;)

Much cheaper to bulk buy FV-1s and EPROMs than the bricks!  8)

On a lighter note... the name?? Is it from HER?

She was on the cover of Maxim a couple of months back.  I don't remember what the article said she was doing though.....

The rest of the cast is the road band for Marilyn Manson.

Wasn't she hosting some kind of sports show or something like that?

Kinda where she stands in front of a green screen and she presents video replays??

EDIT: It was called "The Dish"

31, and less than no idea. I don't watch enough TV...

More ontopic, C'bread's designer seems to be a very, very bright chappy.

It's happening.
Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are married with children.
Her IMDB photo (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004918/) does her NO justice.

But yes Topanga Canyon most likely.

AlanP are you in America? It ended in 2000. Depends on your TV watching in school.

Jack is behind the Belle Epoch and Echorec... so yes... bloody brilliant! 8)

I have tons of respect for Mr. DeVille... and is blog site «Mr Black» is one of the most informative and fun to read out there.

I first ran across him at the first Amp Show in LA, then went and got his CD, "Deep Roots"

anyway, here's the first thing I pulled off of YouTube ... fast forward to 3:45 for his solo:
