Title: Demo Tape Fuzz
Post by: Mich P on April 21, 2014, 09:13:19 PM
Just finish the Demo Tape Fuzz.
Great great effect, the tone stack make miracles.
Good crunch and fuzz, powerfull, tweakable. The clean side is
excellent to, my strat really love it,
i like it, Recommanded !!
My changes :
Vol 100kA
Trim 50KC for more "dialbility" and extend the clean side
C10 100pF
I have tried few op amps JRC4558D, JRC072BD,OP275
but finally a classic TI TL072CP sounded cool (to me).
The Pcb is from Haberdasher.
The art has been done with the help of 1590B template from Juansolo
and under influence of one seen on the net !
Thanks to Brian and of course Doug DEEPER the creator.

I'm curious to know what your think of the tone.
From what I remember of Brian's original post, it's a great sounding pedal, however, from the clips of the original pedal, I'd classify it as more of a distortion than a fuzz.

"not that there's anything wrong with that! "

Very clean build. I love mine also, I can nail some of the black flag/older punk stuff with this pedal.

Thanks guys for your kind words, they 're really warm my heart.

Blues healer : you're right it's not the fuzziest one you can find
but it offer a recognise fuzz sound.
The crunch is great too and the clean side with the help of the tone stack
is just wonderful.
For that low parts count, no hesitation build it !
