Title: Dip switch
Post by: ckim715 on April 24, 2014, 02:06:10 PM
So I am currently ordering parts for a KoT clone, and it calls for 2 2 position dip switches; are the dip switches SPST or SPDT? Thanks! :)

Dip switches are (almost) always SPST. You use more switches if you need more throws.

Also even if the schematic shows a SPDT,  sometimes if you are clever you can convert it SPST. i.e. sometimes you can use the SPST to shunt a diode or cap or resistor or whatever to get an equivalent circuit.

These are the ones I just used for my build if you want to go with the DIP switches.
