I have Mitsubishi MN3005 for about 2 years, and I never tested it. So, is there any other option to test it except building the pedal or putting it in something that already works?

You can build a little test bed on the breadboard... but you may as well build the pedal (in both cases though you need something to test against to make sure it is in fact the chip, not your build) or, there's a project someone developed on DIYstompboxes specifically for testing BBDs for function/stages.
Sadly you can't just look and be sure, it's possible to take an educated guess but it's not definite, especially with counterfeit practices getting better and also stranger (re labeling legitimate items for no reason) also the chip can be real yet die from improper ESD handling at the buyer or sellers hands.
If that photo is of the chip in question an educated guess would say that it is a real chip, but with more detailed photos, that guess could change.

I thought that it will be hard to test it properly, my friend got working analog delay, but we live in different towns.. but in the end I will definitely test the chip putting in his pedal.

So it should be genuine? what do you think? This pedal is made in 80's so I hope it is the real thing.. :)

It looks pretty legitimate, the stamping on the first photo does seem a bit off but i'm not sure if that's just the photo.
As I said though, it's only a guess, not final.
What is the pedal? I'm assuming it's not working... debugging it might be a good step forward in that case, post all the IC voltages.

Hm, you are right about the stamp it is just a bit off. You have a good eye. Hope that is normal :)
This pedal was made in Yugoslavia by company Kartel and it doesn't exists for more then 20 years. I was trying to get schematic of it, but I never found it.
The pedal it self it's in horrible shape, most of tracks are cutted or don't exist at all. So I gave up on repairing it.
I know this is very old topic, but I had to report.. Chip works!! And I never heard better sounding delay repeats, they are bold and warm. Just fantastic! :)
