Title: Ultimate Octave & Dirtbag Builds
Post by: dan.schumaker on May 05, 2014, 07:12:03 PM
Here are the two pedals I finished this weekend.  A Dirtbag Deluxe (V3205's) & an Ultimate Octave pedal on vero.

The Dirtbag is fun to play around with.  The modulation sounds awesome.  There is still a lot of grit in the repeats, I think I need to play with the bias trim pots a little more.  I really like the Ultimate Octave.  It has a really nice and thick fuzz tone to it.  I don't know how much I will use the octave part, but the fuzz tones are very nice.

v3205d's sound gritty pretty much no matter what you do. If you want clean, you need to buy a Lotto ticket some MN3005's.

Very cool work!

Aah! Thanks Alan. This is what I feared. Where to buy bona fida ones is the problem, though.
Any suggestions anyone?

Mark

P.S.  Dan, sorry for jumping in on your post!
