Hi there!
This is some experiment that i started yesterday, made couple day i had another duet of Nutron's in hand and wanted to do something different. Since the first time i built an effect with an LFO i've always digged that concept, probably because you can see it in a physical manner and the «mechanic» of it is rather simple to understand and fool with.
Other than the «Vibe» mod, i had'nt heard of anything else that had been done on it, after some time thinkering around the schem i decided to completely remove the actual LFO section and replace it with CJ's Shoot the Moon LFO that is based on the Tremulus Lune, doing so was taking out a good number of parts and less tuning of the circuit for maximum and minimum LED brightness balance. And i was getting the option of having 2 waveform (Sine/Square). That's where the whole concept of having a «Stutter Phase» became really interesting.
I've also replaced R33 iirc for a B10K pot so i can «lift» the dry signal and did the Vibe mod on a 4PDT.

But those are the one i decided to have boxed at first, might change some in the days to come, the full Trem option was quite cool, with the filtering on 2 stages and a LDR moved to the output of the effect.
I tried some assymetrical control layout that quite did'nt work out this time, might have to try with different knobs.

I've used quick connectors for the LFO V+ and ground need and the LED. Easier to go work in it after, unplug those 2 connector and flip the main board. :)

This is jaw-droppingly cool. I am working on one of these, so I have some questions for you, since you have built several already.
1) What is the best light-dark resistance for the LDRs? I believe someone told me about 10k-500k, but thought it would be good to double-check.
2) There is a pad in the board for one leg of a rate indicator LED. What should the other leg connect to?

I always use Tayda LDRs, the L-1458 model they sell iirc, i simply close match them by having them pointing at the same place on my work bench. So i measure them at «daylight» and i will simply match all of them close as possible by measuring with DMM. Pretty sure those LDR are within the range that you mentionned.
The Rate indicator LED on pcb, the short lead of LED simply goes to ground. :)
That thing sounds crazy! Just like I hoped it would.
This souns really, really cool, and the hard work it involves makes it a unice build, kudos Rej.
As you seem to like the Mutron Phasor a lot ( ;D ) I think you should take a look at the version David Rolo posted on DiyStompboxes. It uses the Electric Druid tap-tempo and LFO and the random setting is just awesome...

Still have to do that clean clip.... the more i play with it in half square mode the more i like it, at some point it sounds like a step sequencer. If you ever built a DigDug... just use controls 2 and 6 to dial it in... you'll know what i mean.
I don't hang on DIYSB, i probably should, but there's something about those bigger and more general forum that do not please me, so i stay away.

I've been waiting to build the Digdug since I heard there was going to be a v2, but that stills has to happen.... but the idea of adding an step sequencer to a phaser is a terrific one.

there is plenty of info an great designs on DYSB, but I spend most of the time lurking, I'm not half the active I'm here.
