Title: Accidentally used AC power instead of DC
Post by: AntKnee on June 05, 2014, 09:19:43 PM
I have a couple of pedals, a Jekyl and Hyde and a Keeley Time Machine, that someone (not me, I swear) hooked AC power to, instead of DC. Are they repairable? Does anyone know what to look for, besides melted parts?

Hmm besides polarity diodes any number of caps could be toasted depending on how much AC was put on them

There may also be a resistor in series with power that would act like a fuse and sacrifice itself to save the other components...if your pedals have something like that in their circuits, you'll know, because it'll be completely fried.
