Title: How to measure a digital pot
Post by: PhiloB on June 06, 2014, 12:29:01 PM
I built the Hamlet +.  Works great, except it repeats at a slightly faster tempo than what's tapped.  I read in another thread that the digital pots have a 10-20% tolerance.  So, I ordered 5 from Mouser.  I'd rather not audition all 5. Is there a way to measure resistance out of the circuit?

Same problem, the led blinks right but the repeats are out of synch. I've tried 2 different taptation kits, 2 different sea urchin boards and 2 different pt2399 chips: delay totally out of synch (or useless tap tempo, if you wish).

I have a few Tap Tempo (Taptation) delay projects coming up and am worried about this.
Is there a way to put a trimmer in the circuit to adjust the resistance offset?
What part of the circuit is driving the LED and what part is driving the echo?

I guess I'll stare at the schemos until I get an answer echoing through my brain...har har
