Title: Pots & Knobs
Post by: aeroemi on June 09, 2014, 11:09:39 AM
Hello everyone,
I need help from you regarding the pots Shaft dimensions and the related knob to be used with.

In particular, I want to use PCB mounted pots, but here is the issue:
The 16mm and 9mm potentiometers from Tayda has a (totally round) Shaft diameter of 6.35mm, but, all the knobs from the same seller have the shaft diameter of 6.3mm.
So my question is: Where do you buy the knobs if you want them to be installed on the (PCB mounted) pots from Tayda?

Thank you!  ;)

I never noticed that to be an issue. I regularly use tayda smooth shaft right angle pots with tayda davies 1510.

Yes... I should say that (not all) the Tayda knobs don't fit.
But, the chicken head, or the MXR fluted ones don't surely fit.

Huh... interesting. I do have some white mxr knobs from tayda still bagged someplace, I'm gonna try them tonight and report.

They'll be fine, its 5 100ths of a mm.

I've never had any issues with the tayda pots and knobs.
