Title: LED not lighting up Help!
Post by: sdlogan9 on June 16, 2014, 06:31:01 PM
Hey Guys

I am building a Klone.. (Chimera) and I have two problems..

1.  The LED does not turn on.

2.  When the Pedal is engaged it is a bit more nosy/Feedback'ish than normal.

- Can these two problems be related?

Where should I start?

Replace the LED first?

Thanks so much for your help!

-Shane

Is the led backwards, or burned out? Feedback or noisy....hmmm

What Jimi said on the LED, if it was wired backwards, you'd get nothing.  Alternatively, if you're CLR was not sufficient (or jumpered), you'd fry your LED.

As far as the noise goes, there is often an oscillation/whine problem with klone circuits, dependant on the type of charge pump you used, especially if you didn't use an -SPCA designation.
