Title: Vapor Trail Analog Delay
Post by: teknoman2 on June 27, 2014, 09:12:00 AM
I just saw today this analog delay,
they advertise that they are using BBD chip with 600ms delay time.
Street price is 150$  :o
How is that possible?
Does anyone know what they are using?
Is it like maxon AD series delay?

Panos.

It'll be 4 x BL3208B like the Memory Toy & Carbon Copy most likely, if not 2 x v3205.

on power and current consumption it says that we can use 9v or 18v reg power supply.
None of this bbd chips can handle 18v,
probably there is a 8.2v zener diode or regulator.
Something fishy is going on...

It's quite typical to run 32XX BBDs off a 5V regulator (see Ibanez) that may well be the case here.
