Title: Temple of the Righteous
Post by: GrindCustoms on June 28, 2014, 07:38:20 AM
I've put 2 fuzz together this evening, first is 424Studio FuzzRighteous that generously sent to me by Dave and Forrest, thanks guys!  ;D

I used SS9013 trannies, 126hfe in Q1 and 122hfe in Q2. Input cap is 10nf and output 47nf, it's fat, nice amount of gain and really responsive to guitar volume roll off.

This is my first Fuzzrite type built and i do dig it.

I tried my best to get a «Picky» gut shot....

Next is a GCFX Temple of Giant, BC109C, both where in the 540hfe.

Built stock other that i've hooked some LED clippers to the volume pot so when Si are lifted you have the visual of the clipping.

How i hooked the LED for those it might interest.

What is the artwork on the FuzzRighteous?

It's a piece by Pieter Bruegel called "The Fall of the Rebel Angels."

Can't see pictures of the Fuzzrite.
Also: that LED bending!
Also: I think there should be a link on this forum to the 424 Studio page on ILF so that one can always catch up on what they're up to.

Don't know why you can't see the FuzzRighteous, it's hosted on my facebook page like all my other pics... weird. :-\

Agreed about the 424Studio projects...  8)

Those are sickeningly clean. The LED wiring is sneaky

Those are some sweet builds! I'd love to see a video of the LEDs on the second pedal in action.

The artwork on the first pedal reminds me of this crazy painting by Hieronymus Bosch called The Garden of Earthly Delights (http://goo.gl/HcXg9g (http://goo.gl/HcXg9g)). I've always liked this painting, mainly because it features the character on the label of Tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale - one of my favorites. Cheers!

Bruegel and Bosch stuff are both artists that i'd like to get their full painting printed and framed.... would make something weird and interesting to look at in the «shop» when i have a brain block...

Garden of Earthly delights is a fantastic painting and WILL end up on a pedal I do at some point.

I think the first time I saw it was on the cover of a Dead Can Dance album.  Seems to be popular for that sort of thing.

Someone needs to do this! You could make a fuzz pedal and call it "Deep Purple Haze."
