Title: Top mounted input/output jacks?
Post by: matmosphere on June 30, 2014, 09:15:15 PM
Does anyone know if there is enough clearance to mount jacks vertically in a 1590bb enclosure? Trying to save some extra room in the box.

I happened to have a pre-drilled at hand, so i tried a common neutrik jack through the stompswitch hole. It works just fine. Not many mm-s margin, but a little is sometimes enuff.

Cheers

Edit: to avoid confusion; the pictured box is an Eddystone "BB", it has exactly the same height as Hammond 1590BB.

I have done this with a stereo 1/4" jack and mono for a headphone amp/test rig a year ago. It will fit in a standard BB just fine vertical.
