Title: The future of BBDs
Post by: Scruffie on July 17, 2014, 11:24:04 PM
Been away for a week, but this could be big news http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=1330

Companies like BOSS make continued production much more likely.

I wonder what chips they went with. Given that this appears to be a limited run I doubt they've resurrected any unobtainium chips, but I guess if anyone can afford to its Roland...

Given what's involved with the fab process, I am certain you are correct; it wouldn't make any sense for a limited run.

Maybe they found a crate full of NOS BBD's in one of their factories :)

No mention of the chips being NOS so most likely BL3208 like all the other companies, but as production on those has ceased, possible hope they might change their minds on that?

Didn't see the part about it being a limited run.
