Hey all. This is my first build and I'm running into some issues. I have the King Tut populated and engaging the pedal results in no guitar sound and a lot of loud crackling. It's fine on bypass.
One thing that I have noticed is that there is continuity between the pads on C5, so perhaps something is shorted there? Any similar experiences? I should add that there are no visible shorts between these pads, so something is happening in the magic smoke somewhere.

I'm sure its fixable. Check out the sticky post over in "tech help" for rules about getting help. The more info (and pictures) you can give, the more help you will receive. Did you try to "rock it before you boxed it?"
