Why are the words K.L.O.N.E. and M.O.J.O. are automatically moderated to «card table»?
klone
mojo
Hahahahaha, they really are!
That is awesome. LOL
My "card table" has more "card table" than your "card table".
Its like, I smurfed like 6 times last night but finally got the right smurf smurfed.
Cody
I got hit by this today and I never use the word mojo.
Another forum I'm on, the global mod thought gold was overused, as in "This pedal is gold!", and replaced "gold" with "my cat's breath smells like cat food!"
Some very odd results happened.
I'm not hugely fond of global replacements like this, unless it's something in risk of becoming a forum injoke (like as unto akin an ingrown toenail.)
Now that is piss funny! ;D
Onna related note, a NZ company called Telecom renamed itself recently to Spark. (It used to be the national telecom. Times changed.)
When it changed to Spark, it did a global search 'n' replace for 'telecom' to 'spark.
Herald "Sparkmunication". I thought it was kinda nifty, Telecom didn't.
i have to try this:
"card table". Card table.
Edit: Holy crap! It's alive!
Klone
Haha, it works
So can someone explain the whole card table thing. I've heard it used loads in the forum but I don't get the reference to klons

There was a long article with an interview with Klon creator Bill Finnegan and in it he made a point about the original Klons being built on his card table.
Guess that's why pedals sound so dang good... I build on a card table as well!! Didn't realize it effected the sound so much. My has a little padding with vinyl covering that I melt periodically. You think that impacts the sound as well?

ya dude, the imperfections make it sound warm
klone
Totally. Many feel that the grey vinyl card tables impact a slightly more rounded tone than black vinyl on kloans.
I build guitars on an old old brown vinyl card table. even has rust on it for extra mojo
Jimmy, I may set mine out in the weather for a few weeks! Hadn't even considered adding rust!! Brilliant on your part.
Also, I forgot to mention that I built a 'paint booth' that sits on a kloan table, that's gotta impact the tone as well. I got mad intuition:) (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/16/ete9ygy5.jpg)
And I thought I had an addiction, Wow, you got me beat. I sit (set?) my enclosures on top of an empty can like canned vegetables come in. Works really well for painting and drying.
The table I build effects on is starting to look a little ragged, I'm considering covering it in felt...
Don't know what the issue is. I can type klone and mojo just fine. ;D

Man, I have to watch that movie again :D
There's some rhyme I can't exactly recall, but it went something like:
The bigger the lovin, the better the shovin. ;D
And of course, who could forget:
Big bottom, big bottom. Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em. 8)
The Magic is over now... i think... :(

Thanks, so that's the secret and that's what I've been doing wrong. For years I've been building on the floor of the guitar room. Better head down to ikea...
I'd like to have SPACE for a dedicated work table of any sort. I do all my building on my computer desk (and metalwork at my Dad's shed.)
A little folding TV table for the synth is about as much space as I can easily get. The curse of being something of a packrat...

This is mad, redneck, ghetto fabulous!
I LOVE IT! ;D
Card table + Colman lamp box equals mad tonary! The ancestors spoke of such tone and how it will surface again in our life time..
Cool idea with the fan and filter. I might upgrade my ghetto paint booth with that also.
Cody
I'm glad ya'll appreciate style involved with the paint booth. I need to buy a bigger filter. I have a ton of trees in my area (old neighborhood). Every time I sprayed I got debris in my clearcoat or paint job. The filter is just to keep paint/clearcoat from building up on the blades. I've sprayed 2 boxes and no debris. It's not pretty but seems to work:)
And as mentioned, it's giving some serious tone. I'm not sure if it's related but when I switched to the Coleman box I noticed I started playing better!
Check out seal/suction going on:

I may look at other forums but this is why I remember this forum goes to 11!
I build on an old wooden desk.
