Post by: blearyeyes on August 17, 2014, 01:26:20 AM
I have a ton of trannies but somehow missed 2N3906

Will a 2N3904 work?

Perhaps a good website for substitutes?

I'm building one of Barrys Emerald Rings....

2n3906 is a PNP transistor.

2n3904 is NPN.

You can sub in a BC557 or similar, just remember to check the pin-out for both 2n3906 and whatever you sub.

2N5087 could also work... but has higher gain.. depends of the purpose.
