hi, i have a SHO clone(fo-SHO), and i have added a buffer, its a small dual buffer, but, when i engage the pedal i get the pops, it was supposed to know that the SHO does not need an input to ground resistor, because of the high impedance of the input, but i get that pop always,
do i put a resistor to stop that'?
The impedance of the input has nothing to do with whether or not a coupling capacitor can leak DC onto the switch side. Just use a 10M.
Also, the SHO's input impedance isn't that high if you're actually boosting with it. It starts out around 3M and drops to under 200K at full. You can keep the high input impedance by using a bypass cap and 5K pot on the source instead of just varying the source resistance. See the AMZ MOSFET Booster for an example.

10M in the input??, or the 10M that already has the circuit??, id check the AMZ to keep the impedance, but, im not so sure about it since the Fo-sho(the one from rullywow), and i really dont like off board componets... but maybe i have to check out, also i have seen that when the pedal its no active, it lower the volume of the chain... im not so sure why though.
