Title: Crybaby Wah Buffer Substitue
Post by: PhiloB on September 17, 2014, 03:39:55 PM
I have a guy wanting to keep the wah buffered bypass but just substitute the Klon buffer for the stock buffer.  I've made Wah true bypass and but never this.  My thought was to follow the schematic and insert the Klon buffer into the board at the "in' from the schematic and the out of the Klon buffer to return to the wah board after the 1st transistor in the schematic.  Here is a link to the schematic broken down into sections:

The problem I'm having is that the component names on the silkscreen of the PCB do not match the names of the schematic components.
I know where to connect the ground and +9v.
Anyone follow me that can point me in the right direction?
I'm pretty sure of where the output of the Klon buffer would be soldered (transistor) but not the input:)

Thanks.
Phillip

Perhaps the info on removing the buffer available at stinkfoot.se could help?  The quick-and-dirty method seems like you could convert it to TB and just insert the Klon buffer PCB into the IN.  The articles mentioning how to add an LED would show where you can pull some power.
