Title: DIY analog delay
Post by: matmosphere on October 04, 2014, 01:44:58 AM
Any one have experience building a analog delay. I've built a few pt2399 delays, really like the Grind Customs DeProfundis, just looking to try something new. The Aquaboy Deluxe looks great but I'm looking for something without the modulation. Was there ever a non-modulated Aquaboy? Any recommendations for a project?

I've etched a few aquaboy 2012's for people and it seems to go over well.

The 2012 is in my etch file as well. The Hamlet is a REALY nice PT delay as well.

I'd be very leery of building a BBD based delay, these days.

Between the dilemma of which IC (either the merry-go-round of is-it-real, is-it-not, or putting up with shit-tastic noise floor) and biasing the stupid damn things, I'd rather go with a good PT2399 delay, these days, and we're spoilt for choice. The Multiplex is STILL a damn fine delay, and the De Profundis is NOT far behind.
