Title: BBD Datasheet Question
Post by: Just for Kicks on October 07, 2014, 03:02:02 PM
Forgive my ignorance, but I need help interpreting the MN3007 and MN3008 datasheets. I built a regulated power supply that shows 15.15V at each output. I plan to power my DM-2 and Deluxe Electric Mistress clones with it. Is that extra .15V too much for the BBDs? I see the absolute max voltage is 18V- I think...

15.15V is fine, 18V is terminal so that will kill it, 16V is max recommended so it'll run happily at 16V but anything above that is putting strain on the chip.

Great! I thought I was reading that correctly, but I've still got a lot to learn. Thank you for the peace of mind. I would've just LOVED frying out-of-production BBDs...
