Title: Glitterratti Cap
Post by: lbrooks on May 09, 2011, 10:17:21 PM
I'm building the bb preamp, and it calls for a 1uf Cap for C2.  I have a 1uf electrolytic cap that shows a positive and negative lead.  However, the pcb does not show which should be pos or neg.  Do I have to get a non-electro cap for this to work?  Or does it matter which side is which?  This is the Glitterratti ver 3.5.

Thanks for your help.

You can use an electrolytic there instead of a film cap. Put the positive end towards R4 (that should be the higher voltage source) and the negative end towards R3.
