Title: Tonebender question
Post by: Adamo on November 09, 2014, 03:02:14 PM
In the parts list R1 is listed as 100k but I made a note that this should be 100 ohm instead. I can't remember where I got that from. Is that true?

Thx
Adam

Definitely not. The 470k/100k form a voltage divider to supply the bias voltage to Q1's base. If you were to use 100R the transistor would not amplify, most likely.

Thanks very much! I have no idea where I got that from.
