Title: Change pedal input impedance to accept pedals before it?help please
Post by: garfo on November 13, 2014, 01:41:14 PM
Hello, finally I got my cherrybomb to work. since I use active bass, the pedal behaves quite gated if the pedal doesn't see an high impedance source. How can I do to the board to make it usable with active bass'

100r resistor in series with a b100k pot from the input jack, to the input of the circuit.

thats how it works in ZVEX stuff and its really effective for fuzz bass with active instruments

Its a 100r in series to lug 3, then 1+2 to input on the PCB. 100kb pot.

Why a pot? Is it to work as a variable resistor where you'll have 100ohms on one end and 100k on the other?
Also, should I take it from the Jack or from the "switch out" to "pcb input"?
I've seen that technique used on fuzzface with a 100ohm resistor in series with the input but Only after the input CAP...

Would add a pulldown resistor have the same effect?

The 100R resistor in series with the pot means that the resistance can NEVER be zero.
