Title: This is My Boomstick!
Post by: Luke51411 on December 13, 2014, 07:20:12 PM
I've been in a bit of a rut lately for actually finishing things. This was a great opportunity to break out. The enclosure is recycled. It originally housed a professor tweed that was sold and returned due to static that I couldn't get rid of. The board is a Madbean Boomstick that was already populated and soldered by another forum member it was just missing some pots and switches. So this was a perfect marriage of reusing previous builds! The Boomstick sounds Great. I left the bass switch off as it didn't seem to do too much for me.

Thanks, I love the way it turned out. It's just simple and clean. It helps that this was one of my better drill jobs as well.

Great bit of recycling. It's a good feeling to finish something after a gap. :D

All right, you primitive screw-heads, listen up! See this? This... is my boomstick! -  It's a twelve-gauge, double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt-blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right... shop smart: shop S-Mart... You got that?

Sorry.  I've always wanted to post that.

Boomstick gets a facelift! I'm sticking with the evil dead theme too!

I didn't leave enough room for the labels so I had to change to smaller knobs so you can read what they are...

Great theme and LOVIN' the new knob choice brother! Im growing tired of those davies knobs, I ordered far too many of them. Do those have a painted index pointer or is it a protuding tip, ala Klon style? Starting to dig those lately.

Nice makeover Luke.

They have the protruding tip. I got them from BLMS. I think I'll add some more on my next order.
