Title: That'sa spicy meatball!
Post by: juansolo on December 18, 2014, 04:38:12 PM
Another mad Lovetone effect. LOADS of different sounds available from this. I even at one point had it as vocal as a Dipthonizer! With all the options it can be a little difficult to dial in. But given that, I still prefer it to a Mutron III.

Board is a Rissole from AlanP and rather excellent it is too.

First thing I thought of with the artwork was Food Pyramid haha. Maybe its for the fact that is says Meatball on it.. I don't know.

Crazy clean looking build as usual.

Very nice!  And thanks to AlanP's PIF, I have one of these boards on the way.

What size enclosure is that? Looks too big to be a BB...  ???

1590XX. It would be a VERY brave person to try and squeeze that into a 1590BB.

That's beautiful.  I may have to build one of these someday.

Btw, have you ever tried lock washers on your I/O jacks?  It can save frustration down the line, especially if you end up selling the build.

Your Envirotex looks like ther was no Envirotex, and that's a really great achievement considering enclosure's dimensions.

Another stunner. I'm not surprised if it takes some dialling in, that's a whole lotta knobs!  8)

Lights operational?

Clean enough to eat your dinner off!

I think there's more space in there than the 1790NS and something-or-other I built my two in. It could just be your clean job of it!

Until someone brought it up, I thought it was just a decal. Upon further study, I still can't see any evidence of envirotex!

(Oh, and -- resistor teepee, everyone! Even Juan does teepees sometimes!)

Cleggy does a very good job with the 'tex these days. He's become a ninja at it and there's a full 20ml on there (lots of holes to fill).

Teepees, at least with parallel resistors I can hide the other one under the board ;)

Yup the LEDs work.

I love it. I immediately spotted it on facebook first and then here, and that's no small feat considering all the things going on in news feeds on FB that are designed to capture your attention.

I was quoting Ace Vetura, might have been The Mask. Carey one way or the other anyhow.

LOL, that makes sense, that question did weird me out slightly ;)

Nah they delivered the stands but no lamps... Finally gave up and refunded me. That's with the light I normally build under, I reckon a pair of those might do the job.

It's clear adhesive decal paper from Craft Computer Paper in the UK. Expensive unless you wait for an offer then buy a tonne of it...

The LM1458 is key. Tayda ones have bad reports, so I ordered a few from Mouser.

Ok I got that confused, I worked with Steve Oedekerk in my previous life. He worked a lot with Carey.
