First new build in close to a year. Simple Bearhug. I test it out and nothing so of course I freak out! Then I take a closer look and NO transistors. First build since coming back and I'm already reminded that I am an idiot. Sheesh!
Merry Christmas all
I did the same thing last week. Built an overdrive and forgot to pop in the opamp. The relief is always worth it though. :)
I've mentioned a couple of times my fling with beer brewing, theres a saying amongst the beer community when someone is worried about their brew: "keep calm and have a homebrew". I think the pedal community could (desperately?) use a saying like that for faulty builds. How about... "Keep calm and grab a multimeter?" :)
Or...keep calm and have a brew... :D
Keep calm and rage quit
The fact that you noticed the missing transistors before starting a troubleshooting thread is proof that your a pro!
Sometimes when out of ideas I resort to Brian Eno's Oblique strategies and grab a random card.
There are also online versions.
When I clicked on this one http://www.joshharrison.net/oblique-strategies/ (http://www.joshharrison.net/oblique-strategies/) the first card was :
Is something missing?
;D
or...
The most important thing is the thing most easily forgotten ;D
