Title: Loop Pedal Popping
Post by: Guybrush on December 31, 2014, 09:24:32 AM
Hi all

I've been toying with the idea of building a loop pedal to use with my ever growing array of effects. I'm just a bit worried about the pop you can sometimes get from using true bypass 3pdt wiring.

Are there any sure fire ways of eliminating this pop? I've tried adding resistors to the in/out jacks of some pedals I have that suffer with this problem but it never seems to help. Is there such a thing as a silent switch that will work as true bypass?

Apologies if this topic has been done to death.

Thanks

Relay style TB switching. I'm told that Thomas from THcustom is the expert on that. He has like 3 different types of relay switches on his site.

I haven't built one myself, but I hear Josh's Optotron is The Balls for silent switching  8)

also a +1 for Thomas' relay switching boards
