Title: Sunking IC3....
Post by: Boom on June 14, 2010, 09:06:17 AM
Hi,

does anyone know if IC3 can be subbed for a IC7660S ? I can only get that one and the LTC1044, which I know is compatible.

Thanks

The ICL7660SPCA is the default charge pump for the stock unit. Not sure if there is any difference between an "S" and the "SCPA" version. My guess is probably none.

The "S" is critical because it specifies the expanded voltage and oscillator frequency range. The "CPA" means 8-pin DIP with 0 to +70°C operating range.

Great, thanks guys.

Now that I know that they´ll both be ok, I´m gonna check what the real difference between those is. The LTC1044 is about TRIPLE the price of the IC7660S !
