Title: A basic (= dumb) question regarding the Moodring build
Post by: MarkL on January 26, 2015, 11:25:31 PM
So -- I've never used a Belton Brick oriented device, and I'm just not sure how to make the connections to the Moodring.  Upon purchasing the Belton Brick, will the connection points be self explanatory (I'm not a noob, just haven't made a device like this before)?  And for those of you who have built this up...where do you place the Belton Brick in the enclosure?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

There are pins connected to the brick itself which are used to solder the brick onto the Moodring PCB. The brick goes on the underside of the PCB like the pots so it all tucks neatly into the 125B.

Pin 1, as will be indicated on the brick, goes in the square hole.

Make sure your get the right one, BTDR-2, as other versions of the brick  have different pins.

I checked out the data sheet for the brick, so it all makes sense now.  Easy and clear.  Excited to get to work on this, thanks for the quick replies.
